# SICW 2025 - SPIRITCYBER Automotive CTF

**Role:** Competitor (with VicOne PH Team)
Me and my colleagues had the opportunity to represent VicOne at **Singapore International Cyber Week (SICW) 2025** and compete in the **SPIRITCYBER Automotive CTF**, an automotive-focused cybersecurity competition that brought together participants from across the region to tackle real-world vehicle security challenges.
Competing alongside talented teams from different organizations and students were both challenging and rewarding. Beyond the technical aspects, the event provided an opportunity to learn from other participants, exchange ideas with fellow researchers, and gain exposure to different approaches for solving automotive security problems.
I'm proud that our team secured **3rd place** in the competition. While the result was certainly rewarding, the experience itself was equally valuable. Events like these provide a unique environment where technical skills, teamwork, problem-solving, and persistence are tested under time pressure, often leading to lessons that extend well beyond the competition itself.
Looking back, the experience was not only a competitive achievement but also an opportunity to grow as a researcher, learn from others in the field, and further deepen my interest in automotive security.
